The City of
Colfax is administered by a City
Manager form of government. The
five-member City Council is directly
elected to staggered four-year terms.
The Council is responsible for policy
development and government oversight.
Office of Mayor is rotated yearly
according to seniority on the Council
with the exception of those having
already served. The Council appointed Bruce Kranz as the City Manager,
who oversees
day-to-day operations of the City. |

Although the
City has a small staff, it takes
pride in being able to deliver customer
service. The City offers all traditional
services with the exception of water
and law enforcement. Water is provided
by the Placer County Water Agency
and law enforcement is handled through
a contract with the Placer County
Sheriff's Department. The Mayor of Colfax is Joshua Alpine. Council Members are Ken Delfino-Mayor Pro Tem, Steve Harvey, Donna Barkle, and Suzanne Roberts. City Manager, Bruce Kranz, and City Clerk, Karen Pierce, may be contacted through City Hall at 530-346-2313. |
